Just one other interresting thing. The pick up from the rev counter. The Colt and Toyota ones are different lenghts , but the same thread. Up date. Been isolated for 2 weeks. Got down with something , ???????? Got the Colt pump on the 2L2T. Timing marks like with the Toyota pump. Pump timing at 1mm lift at TDC. No smoke. Hallo Pierre. It seems that your revs are almost double of what it should be. Have a look at the signal you are sending to the rev counter. It might be doubled. Well done.
It is true. Those engines can do one million km before breakfast. The metal used for all the components are for me the hardest , best quality , of all the manufacturers. Closest to them is Volkswagen , but not really as good.

Daar is niks wat die aste in die diff vashou nie. Hulle steek net op splines in en is veronderstel om net uit te trek. As die aste uit is , is dit die moeite werd om gou jou diff uit te haal en net te kyk. As daar oor 10 000 km miskien iets met die diff vout gaan moet jy als wat jy nou doen weer oor...

30. If it is an inport model , make sure that the load bin is in good condition , especialy the tail gate. Been looking for a tail gate for almost two years now. I was lycky and got hold of a full door canopy.

When in gear , 4th , the needle bearing is stationary , both shafts same speed , and in other gears the speed differance are minimal. The highest differance wil be in reverse and 1st.

Hi Alex , try running engine in nutral and just lightly toutch your clutch pedal . If you can feel the sound , it can be your release bearing.
