haha, die 3d printer het hy van scratch af gebou, hy is n Elektroniese Ingenieur van beroep. Soos hy my verduidelik (eks n Siviele ingenieur van beroep, so eks nie altyd lekker by met al die goed nie) sal n microcontroller die skerm kan dryf. Ek dink wel ek moet nog n bietjie navorsing hieroor doen....

It would be a interesting discussion topic: Do these recovery holes take into account the load of the vehicle as well as the forces experienced during a recovery? Lets say for a recovery the forces are 3x the weight of the vehicle (sucking thumb here) and add to that a safety factor of 2? Your calcs...

The shackle bushes are the ones at the rear of the leaf spring, 2 per side. What we did on my dads cruiser was to mount the controller behind the grill/bumper and then wire a 3 way switch like the old cars aerial up and down to it, now he can control the winch from the drivers position.

If you get an old toyota switch it will look factory too

Thanks Quentin, I've sent them a mail so hopefully they get back to me with good news. I found the correct design ones at RS components, but they are 20x40mm in size and only come in 2m lengths so there will be some wastage. Maybe I should go do some calculations to see if they will be strong enough...
