Re: A Hilux in Europistan.

The last change till now! I got rid of the Alpha E-type hardtop and replaced it with an Alucab. Now I only need to put the rooftent and the luggage tray back on and at the end of the month I can hit the road. "Tour de France en Hilux" http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w310/theholeinthedon...

Re: A Hilux in Europistan.

Two weeks ago I changed the rear bumper for an AFN (That's a small company in Portugal that makes some quite nice 4X4 replacement parts). the AFN bumper has a spare wheel carrier and a jerry can holder. http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w310/theholeinthedonut/SCHOLTES/Hilux/38bd6fcf-84df-44a9-8c5a-...

Re: A Hilux in Europistan.

@ Mud Dog: The plates are 6mm aluminium. Next step will be CV protections and rock sliders. I haven't decided yet which model of CV protectors I want to put on. But for the rock sliders I'm pretty sure I will go with the Front Runner. They don't take away any ground clearance but they seem to be ver...

Re: A Hilux in Europistan.

In June I added Rasta 4X4 skid plates! They didn't even fit badly...they didn't fit at all :frustrated: Blood sweat and tears! Every whole had to be re-drilled or widened!!! But on the plus side the Rasta 4X4 front plate fits well underneath the skid plate integrated into the Rhino 4X4 front bumper,...

The Lux in the Vosges Mountains in France, after the first two rounds of tampering... First thing I did, last February, was to mount Rhino Rack heavy duty bars with an Overzone rooftent onto the cab and Rhino Rack heavy duty bars with an Alloy Tray on the hardtop. In April I replaced the complete st...

Newbie from Europe

Hiya all,

My name is Tom, I'm from central Europe. I was born in the summer of '69 and I drive my 2nd Hilux.
Before I drove 2 Suzuki SJ413's, a Nissan Pick-up and a Defender 110 Station Wagon.

Thanks for taking me in!
