EGT of around 720 deg C is considered to be the highest value allowed on sustained driving.
Fit a Madman or similar monitor that will keep an eye on your EGT probe and your coolant/water level.
The WL25 is a great little engine. Way better than anything of that size from Toyota

The Series chassis was no more prone to rust than any mild steel chassis I reckon. Try find a early SFA Hilux at the coast without chassis rust? As for being easier: nope, there are just too many cross-member and outrigger differences, it would take a year just to measure and weld up the extra bits....

By the way, most 4-banger SFA Hiluxes in SA run 4.88:1 ratios. We didn't get the 6-cylinder engines over here.

Ek probeer sin maak van die Hilux se geskiedenis, spesifiek t.o.v die diffs: wat, wanneer, hoekom.
Ek verstaan dat van die Toy diffs eintlik Dana diffs is?

Martin, Sounds like your turbo is simply not spinning up quick enough from idle. Some options: - big bore exhaust ( I think you already have one?) - remove restrictive center exhaust box: go for straight pipe. - replace rear box maybe with a large straight-thru if the standard rear box now seems lou...

Puik, man! Dis vir my awesome! 2-4 mm penetrasie vanaf 2 kar battereie? Wie sou glo?
Dis definitively 'n kit wat sal saamgaan op trips. Sal sommer 'n kit laat opmaak deur BG Arc of iemand: hulle het die kabels en alles.
