Hi all My 150K km service is coming up. Taking it to my Indie and want to shop around for what I will need and start getting it bit by bit to spread the costs a bit. Anyone have the service schedule. Don't need to do the gear box as it has just been replaced with a reconned unit. I know the cam belt...

So I just have the EGR blocked off. On the engine side or the exhaust side? if that makes sense.
Does it have a cooler that needs to be bypassed?

Hi all. Some help please. Does the 3L D4D in my Hilux have an EGR cooler/valve? My VW bus has it and I have been advised by an agent to have the cooler removed as they give trouble. I don't want the same problem on the Hilux. I think some-one said it does not have one. Is this true? Many thanks Docbos

Problem solved. New gearbox put in. Running nicely and quiet!
Had no feed back about the first box but I suppose it will take time.

Lol Thanks Mud Dog That's what the mechie said as well.He said he can feel nothing when putting it in reverse.Serious dropping the ball on the gearbox specialists guys. That's why he was audible at a distance from the mechie's phone. I've learnt with age not to have a meltdown as mistakes do happen....
