I spend a lot of time in the Cederberg on my dual sport bike and know a few of these great camp sites. Those mentioned above are awesome but they're also the more common camp sites. You can also try Steven & Louise Esterhuizen's place called Nuwerus. You approach it from the "Op die Berg&qu...

Re: Toyota resale values

IMHO resale values only mean something when you're selling a vehicle out of hand and not through a dealer. I paid R165K for my 2.7i Raider and sold it 6 years later for R135K. I could have got closer to R150K if I was patient but I wanted to do a quick deal. For the same vehicle I would have been lu...

Ou Trek pad is a great route, maybe just a bit too easy in winter because the sand is so compact. Just be careful of the larger water crossing, the warning signs are there for a reason  I ended up on my belly there last time and need a small recovery... by a friend in a GW *cough* M

I'm looking for a 4x4 D-4D D/C in the R230-250K region. I'm not too worried about year model but the milage needs to be fairly low and condition good. I'd like 165K for my bakkie. I have to admit, I've never seen a vehicle climb a dune like that Sahara. That thing was truly amazing, from basically zero run up it hits the dune and actually gains speed before halfway up. The Prado's were also impressive but I'm sure it's the Sahara's power to weight ratio that gives it the edge...
