Re: Gabriel safaris and safari HDP
Hi stef,
my mikem blades and torsion bars are fairly new. the shocks are much older. I can get HDPS for R1650 a shock, OME is R2550 a shock.
than why I am asking. is OME that much better if yes then I get OME again, or are we just paying for the brand name

Hi Guys,
what is the difference between the gabriel safaries and safari HDP shock absorbers, and what is your experience using them.
my OME shock are tired, but OME is incredibly expensive now. so looking at alternatives

Hi Hans,
what did Hoppy say about blanking the EGR. I am also interested in doing it as my KZTE has started getting a lot heavier on diesel, one of the symptoms of a blocked egr.

The bert is to lock the hubs and stay in 2H, that way the front diff turns and everything gets lubed up nicely, but the front propshaft is not connected to the gearbox so theres no chance of damage, if you drive in 4x4 with hubs unlocked, there is a chance that the freewheeling hubs could get damage...

I have seen plenty 02 kzte recently for R130-140K so not to bad if all is included also nice lowish milage, however go find a fully rigged 2700i they go for 20-30k less than the kztes, its going to take a very long time to make that up in extra fuel.

your biggest advantage with 10ppm is there will be much less soot build-up in your engine oil. its also better for the environment and rubber seals in the fuel system. also the lower sulphur stuff tends to be cleaner than 500ppm. garages are more likely to put paraffin in 500ppm than 50 or 10ppm. th...
