Finished put the van back together yesterday, and took it for a drive today(300kms).
Temperature just below 1/2 the whole time.
CHT never went over 73 degrees even on the uphills.
No water lost, so looks like I managed to do a good job. :)

I installed MGL, think its the old E1, apparently they dont distribute it anymore. Use mine to monitor EGT and CHT on both my Toyota and Isuzu, once I get my finger out my A##e I will connect oil pressure and oil Temp to it.

I had the same problem a while back.

Pulled out the difflock unit cleaned, fitted it back and replaced the oil in the diff and viola, haven't had the problem again.

There is a thread here on the forum explaining everything about the DiffLock on a KZ-TE.

Don't see why not! Just a word of warning, if you do, I would suggest that you carryout the first 3 full synth oil changes at 3000 km intrvals, I have heard that full synth oil has better cleaning properties and could loosen sludge that has been built up by using multigrade. Just remember that diff lock is only engaged when in 4L, unless you have done the mod.

As Cassie explains, when in 4x4 you will get indication(green indication) whether in 4H or 4L.

Diff lock will only work when in 4L, unless you have the modification which is explained on this forum that allows diff lock to engage in 4H as well as 2H.

Ok installed it about 70-100 mm from head just above the bend where it goes down to the turbo, all seems to be working correctly, next step will be to try move intercooler to top and maybe investigate a 70mm exhaust before taking it to SAC for chip and setting.

I bought a whole Tent setup from them. and then wanted them to make me a custom awning, was prepared to give them deposit but they where not one bit interested, guess they make enough money and they are not suffering under the current finacial crisis.

IMHO, wrong tyre pressures(to low) will damage any tyre like that, the way the sides where cut could only have been caused by the sides of the rim.

ABS and Diff Light on continously 3.0 KZ-TE

Hi All,

Just returned from a trip to Bots and while there the ABS and RR Diff Lock light came ON while on a track, the van was still on 4x2, the problem is that they now stay on all the time.

Anyone experience this before and anyone have any ideas where I should start looking?

on my last trip I had spare fuel in a jerry, so wasnt to worried about running out, when I did eventually fill up I managed to fill 78 litres, so what Eric mentions that it holds 81 liters could be correct.

Ok, Canopy is finally ready for its first adventure trip.

Under the carpet is a 60L water tank and a hidden storage space.
