We stopped and refuelled in Springbok as this would be the last stop as we planned on going to south on the coast all the way to Strandfontein. The next morning we slept in until the sun started to warm up the tents and we got to getting breakfast ready and getting everyone road worthy and ready for the day. The next morning we had an early rise from a very good night’s rest. Dead central in old Kimberley with nothing to worry about and not even a whiff of noise from the traffic that was just a mere drop away, you could not but feel like being time travelled back to the old days of the diamond rush era....

Ek sal net aanraai dat jy die temp naald fyn dophou in warm weer en stadige 4x4 werk. Daai boks het basies so 50% van die direkte lugvloei geblok op die radiator veral op die onderkant waar die meeste verkoeling plaasvind.

Daan I tend to drive mine around 2500 rpm which is about 115/120. I do switch off the overdrive on a long hill if i notice it to drop below 115 and just keep the foot steady. I also tend to keep my foot light and just cruise mainly.

Welcome Daan, The Prado that had a factory Sub tank with separate gauge fitted held 69L. These are only to be found in Australia with these tanks. The Front Runner Aux Tank hold 70L in total that would be fitted to your vehicle. All the 1997-2002 models in SA all had only a 90L single tank fitted. T...

James it is a electronic sender unit on the box that sends the reading as far as i know. Not a very common failure. I would be inclined to remove and clean it and test again as i suspect it is a poor connection on the sender unit that caused the speedo stop working

Here is my version of a portable and also vehicle mounted chuck box. I like to keep it simple and small. It is for 4 people with the cutlery. Martin ja ek kry gewoonlik sonder die dakrak op en minder vrag so 7.8 - 8.2km/l verbruik oor die algemeen. Ry maar min kort afstande met myne. So ek sal seker ook 6 kry in stads verkeer.

Weskus en Karoo so vinnig besoek

Ek het Desember so kort draai gery en bietjie plekke gaan ondersoek en paaie bekyk in die Weskus area asook so draai deur die karoo gery. Ek het moes ongelukkig n deel van my roete op die laaste verander agv omstandighede en het dus so paar dae vroeer terug gekom maar daarin was dit ook baie goed ge...
