Got the new part installed. Easy job, even by my standards...

Attached a pic of the worn part. If you look carefully you'll see a hairline crack on the hose where the fuel was spilling out of.... :shock:

Congrats Nick. You will not regret it. I've also recently purchased a 120 and absolutely loving it. The power is awesome and ride comfort is phenomenal. Fuel consumption is the only downside though.... Very difficult not to have a heavy foot once you've felt those horses (twisted)

I'm not a mechanic, but by my logic, by removing the Cats you will reduce the overall weight of the vehicle and therefore should enjoy an improvement in your fuel consumption. :thumbup: The same logic applies to the engine. I hear you Thys. With the SFA I would usually have deflated to 0.8 bar. But surely with a lower profile tyre (265/65/17) one should be more cautious....not so?

At vaatjie the weekend, started at 1.4 because of the lower profile tyres on the Prado.... got to the first sandy incline and no further. :roll: Dropped to 1.2 and adjusted the loud pedal slightly and glided through those hills and turns. ......oh, and the 4.0 v6 under the bonnet didn't mind either....
