Derik - 1988 LWB 4x4, 2.2 Diesel. Nou omgeskakel na 3l V6. - Laserus (Hy het al menegemaal uit die dood uit opgestaan :-)

No5 piston rings failed in such a way that it was not getting oil on the piston but producing sump pressure.

V6 Dipstick Oil Leak
Hi Guy's I've got a Ford V6 in my Hilux. Just came back from 5 day's in Lesotho. On day 2 oils started leaking from the dipstick. It just pushes up and sprays the whole engine. Luckily I had a full 5L of oil but used all of it over about 1350km (all the way back home, JHB) I cleaned the breather pip...

Terug na Diesel
Ek het 'n 1985 LWB Hilux (2.4 Diesel) wat in 1986 deur JV conversions in 'n "SUV" omskep is. As deel van die conversion is 'n Ford V6 engin in gesit. Die oorspronklikke ratkas is behou. Ek oorweeg dit om terug te gaan na diesel toe en oorweeg die KZTE motor. So paar vrae wat ek egter het: ...
