Re: Your comments on the JT 3000 Ford conversion on a Hilux
If the conversion is done properly by a competent mechanic it is a real pleasure. I had a Ford V6 put in my red bakkie, on the left. What a pleasure after I got past the teething problems by a "well known" conversion mechanic in Maritzborough. The first problem was clutch related because ...

Re: Bullbar / Airbags
Hi Guys, I would rather find an airbag compatible bull bar that doesn't replace the existing front bumper. Is there one? The picture above shows spots fitted inside the bullbar. Does this not affect the airflow to the radiator? Why do some guys blank out the registration number when they post pics? ...

Niel,
I can send you some of my strong stuff even Griewas has a better chance
You are the one that mentioned the strong stuff. I smoke stock, standard Gunston.
If you think ( after this year ) that it will be in Cape Town that " Strong stuff" must be getting to you.

Hi Bosvark,
I had a 4Y 2.2 Hilux and used to drop my tire pressure to 1 bar for general beach driving.
Will you not have any problems with sand between the tire and the rim if you drop them to 0.6 bars?

Hi Niel, Don't start stressing about your KZ yet. I cannot decide, from what I have read, whether it is still the older ones that are being targeted so I posed the question hoping to get feedback.
I recently sold my 1987 2.2 D/C 4X4 ( after 13 years ) and replaced it with a 2003 2.7i D/C 4X4.

Hilux Theft
I have been reading some of the posts about stealing of hilux's. The main targets used to be the older 2.2's and 2.4's for engine transplants. Has the emphasis changed now to the complete vehicle, so that the 2.7i's and KZTE's are also in demand?
