Phoned most of the spares/engineering shops in Pretoria but still can't find any

what would i need for a "bare" head and how much would it cost?

all the stuff that was in and on the old head got smashed, they were on the back of the other bakkie and got thrown on the road

hi oooms, on our way back from quissico, in a town called manhica a truck with very bad lights and no warning triangles was doing a tyre change while blocking the lane, my uncle braked to avoid a collision which caused us to skid into the oncoming traffic's lane, as soon as we came to a stand still ...

eish now the insurance is going back on their decision (word!) to write it off thats after we stripped off all the accessories we could salvage (with their permission offcourse) like roof rack, rock sliders, load bid slider etc etc they dont want to pay for any of the engine damage because i had to ...

awesome news guys! just got a "ball park" quote from SAC and it seems that if they fit the new head it would cost about R5,000 incl. a dyna! that's a lot less than i was thinking

i forgot to add but these guys literally have a toolbox with spanners and screw drivers, not sure if this is 100% for this kind of job...? thanks sooo much for the info Dewald, to be honest i left it as is (my bad), it locks but the light inside the cab flashes the whole time (perhaps a sensor or something cheap i hope?)

I had the same problem a while back. Pulled out the difflock unit cleaned, fitted it back and replaced the oil in the diff and viola, haven't had the problem again. yeah, when it gets time to trade it not even tata wants to give you book value i paid R130K for my telcoline in 2005, the best i could sell it privately for was R47K... you don't even want to know how much toyota offered me for trade in - only 1 toy dealer (out of about 6 i begged) was actually will...
