V8 in a FJ62 Land Cruiser
Has anybody any experience in putting a V8 into a 1989 FJ62 Land Cruiser?
I am looking at the 1UR and 2UZ engines. Could these be put into a FJ62?
Currently the vehicle has a 2H engine with 5 speed manual box.

Thanks people for your input. 1HD-T seems like a good option and will probably be available here in Pakistan. Do you think the 1KD-FTV would be a good replacement?
Currently have a 120 series Prado which runs really well and gives great fuel mileage. Would a FJ 62 suit a 1KD-FTV?

Just checked with multi-meter it seems the driver side battery (not the main one) is the lower showing only 9 volts. The main battery is showing 10 volts.
Once I get this jump started I want to investigate what is causing the batteries to discharge so quickly.
