When I went to Botswana in April, I lost my rear box (somewhere in Khutse). Since then my bakkie also back-fired (not loud) when I released my petrol. I agree with Mud Dog, it's just a loss of back pressure.

The guy said if I had a 4 spider gear it would fit. I will ask him about the spline.

Does the SFA 88-89 have a 4 or 2 spider gear in the diffs?

Will a Toyota Prado/ Hilux Detriot TrueTrac Diff Lock fit on these models?

Is this not only applicable to the chosen few who lives next to the coast?

Anyway, my VW caddy bakkie also have that rubbery exit holes for water to escape that needs to be cleaned regularly!
