I'm not sure if the old LC diff will work, maybe the drum brakes will be a problem. Maybe Hoppy (on this forum) can give you better information.

I did a conversion a few years ago on my 2003 2.7 Lux. We went the coil route using Land Rover control arms and a Hilux SFA axle. The Hilux axle is slightly narrower than the 2.7 rear axle, so we used wheel spacers. Fitted Land Cruiser ventilated dics with the original 2.7 calipers. Changed the 2.7 ...

Niel, die kamp kan 'n maksimum van 10 voertuie neem. Koste: kamp R100/voertuig/nag en die roete R150/voertuig. Indien so verkies sal ek die roete saam doen as gids sonder koste :thumbup:

The long weekend end of this month is still open 27-29 April. I had enquiries but to date no firm commitments. If one take the Monday off the weekend can be stretched to the 1st of May. A normal weekend is OK to camp and do the trail, but if you want to explore a bit a long weekend comes in handy......

Pieter I had Iron Man Foam Cell shocks. I never checked the travel, maybe that was the limiting factor with the articulation.

I know that many "experts" will disagree with me, but I recon it is safe to remove the sway bar connects altogether. Before I did the solid axle conversion on my 2.7, I fitted a full Iron Man suspension (torsion bars, leaf springs,shocks and shackles) as well as 32" Coopers. But still...

Interesting plant

It is called the Koesnaatjie and it grows in the Karoo. I took the pics in the Tankwa. It grows for 7-10 years and flowers once before it dies.

It almost sounds that it is coming from the back of the speedo I had a similar problem, thought at one time that it was the RF wheel bearing. But then I noticed that the speedo needle was fluttering in sync with the sound. Jacques sorted it out for me, I think he sent the speedo cable for a recon. ...

It is actually built on a Pajero SWB and not a Toyota. In the Leisure Wheels article they called it a Pajolla (Pajero + Volla)
