You are right, the full volume of oil cannot be drained with a normal drain performed. A torque converter can easily account for holding 50% of the volume of oil inside the gearbox. Jaco, my Hilux het in 165,000km drie stelle injectors en 1 dieselpomp opgeeet.

Net vir die rekord na die laaste stel op 135,000km het ek eers die uitlaatpyp laat doen.

Van Niekerk on his KTM is also doing really well.

He was in 7th for a large part of the day yesterday, unfortunately ended the day in 13th position and is currently in 12th position overall. Still a darn impressive performance.

This is not good: South African Leeroy Poulter's Toyota has remained at a standstill at km 47 for over 20 minutes now. This is much longer than what it takes to change a tyre and suggests the Toyota's problems are serious.

Daily 30 minute coverage: - if you take out the advertisements and some of the un-necessary items, then the actual viewing time of the Dakar is about 22 minutes. This is all you get each day of one of the greatest sporting events in the world. Together with Le Mans the GREATEST!! :thumbup: :thumbup:

Went for the food many top Boerboel Studs use, and many of the show dogs are on: Optimizer.

And it is same price as Montego, and has less wheat and gluten in as a filler.

Jacques, if I recall you have an intercooler on that Hilux?

Should consider having the intercooler cleaned. With blow by you'll end up with oil in the intercooler.

It is anyway not bad practice to have an intercooler sonic cleaned every 12 months.

Darren is right, it might be jumping of because of oil in the turbo which will be a pre-warning of oil blow-by.

Personally, either Shell Rimula or Engen Dieselube 700.

See that you use an oil with a specification of CH-4 or higher like CI.
