Does anyone know what the current fire arm license involves? With me leaving do I just hand it in or can a friend take it over if he gets his license. I hear in some cases the license has gone back to the old system.

With our diesel in SA I recomend you replace the filter at every service. To reset the light is quick and easy - With ignition off, unplug the top plug from the fuel filter housing, Start the vehicle and quickly put the plug back in. Light will go off after 3 sec. Job done. 10 seconds.

Re: Chassis galv or spray
If its for a older shape land cruizer then its a bad idea. The chassis is made to twist when off roading and galvanising will make it to riged. So when it does eventually get to a point of twisting it cracks the galvanising and rusts the chassis at that point.

With old papers you dont need the SABS. Build a trailer slap on the disc. go to weigh bridge and get a weight certificate if you change the GVM. The guy next door to me does this stuff for a living. As long as the trailer meets roadworthy standards it will pass. Slips for parts are required if the t...

To de-cat wont effect roadworthy. Its a case of if its fitted as an extra and not a standard SABS requirement, it must work. Cats are not gazzeted as a requirement. As for roadworhty every year, it has been in the pipeline since late 2004. Our infrastructure in sa wont handle it and with all the old...

Sure its the clutch. Mine did it last year and found the pressure plate was the problem. A clutch can be burnt out in 30 sec and a pressure plate can go just as easily as a bulb. Does your pedal feel any differantly?

Re: Lexus V6 or ADE236 on SFA
I rebuilt a ade 236 into a land cruizer once and it worked beautifully. How ever the hilux suspension etc wont handle the weight and size of the ade236. I would rather stick to your 4y or get a straight six.If you have money to go diesel, then 5L is also nice for low down pulling.
Ignorance
Just drove through town now and was behind a landy at a robot. It had a sticker that read
"I would rather push my Landy than drive a cruizer" I dont know about anyone els but id rather walk than push anything. thats why i drive a toyota.
