Increase power and decrease fuel consumption

I am thinking of making some modifications to my Tata Xenon. I would like to be able to decrease my fuel consumption for in town driving and increase performance when driving off road (more torque?) and maybe a higher top end. Does anyone have any suggestions. I love the car as is, but I always want...

Hmmm. Think I'll stick with my very fuel efficient Tata... :)

Looks like a rival for the mini!

So it looks like Tata has developed a new little car. Could be a green option for around town driving and traffic. A car this little can't burn much fuel! Check it out... Hope they bring it out to SA soon. The rupee price translates to just over R20 000! http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-01-03/tata...

Re: New from Tata!!

Come on guys.
Give Tata a chance to prove itself.
Don't write it off as a bad job just because they haven't been around for a long time.
Look at what happened to Hyundai - they started out as being pretty ghastly.

I would say play it safe. Use the rear axle since you know it can handle the pressure

Re: Brandstofverbruik op 4*4

Like you said, there are a lot of things that could cause increased fuel consumption.
I know driving with the aircon on drains power from the engine and can cause increased fuel consumption, but that mostly affects smaller cars.
Maybe you are not using the car's powerband correctly?

Mpumulanga Region?

I am just wondering whether anyone has gone on a journey in the Mpumulanga region, around the Panorama Route?

Any advice and tips on places to go and see and where to stay? (we do not want to camp!)

Thanks in advance :)

I heard the photos were edited and the Impala was in fact eaten after he was "released"?

Unfortunate! Hope its not true!

Re: Convert your car to an electric car

Hmmm! Very interesting!
I happen to agree with Piet - the solar panels could work out to be very useful!

If we run our cars on electricity we will still be damaging the environment ultimately anyway? Makes one wonder what the whole point is?

Hi all!

Thanks for the greetings! As far as I know I do not work for Tata?! :)

It is a diesel! So far so good, have been very happy with it, although haven't done any MAJOR off road missions just yet!

Re: SEAT BELTS

This could be quite disconcerting! Would it then be imperative that one replaces their seatbelt after they have had their vehicle for five or more years? Perhaps maintenance checks are in order then, once a certain number of years has passed?

Tata Xenon

I am currently driving the new Tata Xenon 2.2L, and I must say, I am thrilled with its performance. For such an affordable vehicle, I did not think that I would get the kind of space and comfort that I am now enjoying. All the features on the vehicle have been improved, and both the power and torque...
