Re: Tyre pressure for Namibia & Kaokoland
Dankie Danie. Nie regtig wat ek w...

Re: Tyre pressure for Namibia & Kaokoland
Ons was 5 vrte, saam 30 000 km's, nie 1 puncture nie. Lekker ry -...

Re: Air Jack for double cab - 1.5 ton or 2.5 ton
Remember you dont really lift up the full weight of the vehicle. If you lift up the right back half of the vehicle it is basically only a 1/4 of the weight. So theoretically 1.5 will be enough Yes but... I've seen posts where guys say that the 1.5tons means it is for a vehicle weighing up to 1.5tons...

Re: Air Jack for double cab - 1.5 ton or 2.5 ton
Trying to find out how Takla's rating works.
On some such air jacks 1.5tons means it is for a vehicle weighing up to 1.5tons.
On others it means the jack can actually lift up to 1.5 tons...
For the Takla? Wish I knew.

Air Jack for double cab - 1.5 ton or 2.5 ton
Hi
What would you recommend for use with Hilux Double Cab (2006 & later)?
Can buy 1.5 ton Takla from friend. Or should I rather go for 2.5 ton?

Re: Tyre pressure for Namibia & Kaokoland
Thanks to all for the replies & advice. I read once or twice before that lower pressure on dirt roads is better in the long run. But want a bit more direct advice on actual experience... Recently went with the "higher pressure" (2.6) to the Cederberg & had 1st flat in many years fr...

Tyre pressure for Namibia & Kaokoland
Off to Namibia in a few weeks with a Bushlapa Miskruier in tow. Will be travelling extensively (as one does in Namibia  ) on gravel roads & also through Kaokoland. What tyre pressure would you recommend 1) on the normal Namibia gravel roads and 2) on the Kaokoland roads? Dueller ATs on ...
