Remember you dont really lift up the full weight of the vehicle. If you lift up the right back half of the vehicle it is basically only a 1/4 of the weight.So theoretically 1.5 will be enough Yes but... I've seen posts where guys say that the 1.5tons means it is for a vehicle weighing up to 1.5tons...

Trying to find out how Takla's rating works.
On some such air jacks 1.5tons means it is for a vehicle weighing up to 1.5tons.
On others it means the jack can actually lift up to 1.5 tons...

For the Takla? Wish I knew.

What would you recommend for use with Hilux Double Cab (2006 & later)?
Can buy 1.5 ton Takla from friend. Or should I rather go for 2.5 ton?
