Like I said earlier, I can't speak for others but my engine is fill of lttle Merc signs (3 pointed star) and even the Merc part numbers. When I had the injectors cleaned even they had the Merc part number on them. ??? Only know what I know.

Hi All,

A mate of mine is selling his Tuna - he is upgrading to an Auto
The vehicle is a 2010 3.0 D4D manual with 85000km FSH
he bought it new and is accident damage free, and overall in good condition

he wants R245 000

this seems like a good deal to me - what do you guys think?

Isn't the 38 the standard carb from the Ford V6? I would have thought that would have been too big for our 22R's. Did you fit smaller venturis? Did it not bog down if you slammed the throttle flat?

Thanks for all the feedback so far. The consumption was definitely a plus point waaay better than a cruiser but - suppose the whole cost of ownership need to be taken into account not just fuel. Also a double cab diesel cruiser (I need a bak) is mega $$$.

My BFG AT's on my Ssang Yong Musso are not too good after 30 000km either. All I have done is a few 4x4 trails and my wife uses it as a daily school run. (maybe she is sneaking out to Beraka)

Its just the typical single point fuel injection. A recent thread actually spoke about it. we are generally of the concensus that the small gains are not worth the time and effort. think there are some pics from when I did mine on "rokorok gets a make -over" not sure if the sizes were there... dont forget you will need to re mount your Rad, check hoses canles etc and possibly cut the gear lever hole if you cant select 2nd and 4th I got around this by lifting my g box...
