I have to agree, I installed mine about 4 - 5 years ago as I had to replace my original disc's. Its like chalk and cheese. I think my ABS worked for the first time with the powerbrake setup. No doubt the best upgrade I have made.

I have to say that the diagnostic process was long and interesting for me. I replaced my prop center bearing, rear u-joint and both rear wheel bearings of which all were ready to be replaced. I agree with Andy regarding the seals. Just went through this exercise. Not sure of your setup but my seal runs on the collar holding the ABS ring. Make sure your setup is is according to the specs.

Hi Neil, that quote is quite high, I would would rather take it to another reputable mechanic and use good qaulity aftermarket parts. You will save quite abit. Enquire about the price for the sensor only and do the math. That is just my view.

Pieter I will attempt tomorow to grind that collar at a hellse angle. I used a cold chisel in the groove I cut with the grinder and it worked well. So far read that the ABS rotor must be replaced because it gets damaged in removal process. Can this only be bought from the Agents or is there a aftermarket equivalent? The agents are very expensive.

I have just received an email from NL. They also confirmed that leaving it ON is better, the battery will be better off with a regular charge. Makes sense what most of you have already confirmed. Thanks guys

Thys, I forgot, also had a flat while driving my corsa bakkie at 100km/h (rear). It does concern me that I will be doing lots of long distance driving in the near future with these tyres and my famiy's safety comes first.

I am running 33/12.5/15 MT and they are noisy at higher speeds. I have to mention, on the long road they hum lekker. I always find everyone falling asleep. Bliss... no nagging children on my long trips :yahoo: .

Caskru thanks for the diagram. Mine is like the first diagram. So it appears that there is only one clip for my setup. Can I assume that these clips can lose tension over time and needs to be replaced. I could tap the pads with my finger to knock quite hard against the caliper.
