Hi folks I have some questions for the experts. Can a rear diff centre portion, from a 2005-2016 Vigo 3.0L D4D or 4.0L V6 Hilux or Fortuner, be retrofitted to an older pre-2005 “import” Hilux (IFS or SFA) or HiAce diff housing? Gearmax/Local diff torque wrench specs?
Hi
Does anyone have torque wrench specs for the local Gearmax differentials?
I would assume the torque specs for all M75, M80/82, etc would be the same?
Torque specs for the bearing cap bolts, crownwheel to differential case bolts, etc
What should the pre-load be on the pinion bearings?
Regards

You also need to establish why the head gasket blew. It could be due to old age and corrosion or it could be due to the head warping as a result of overheating. While you have the coolant drained, take the radiator out (quick and easy job) and give it to Silverton to flush and check for leaks. Also...

SFA Front Propshaft Repair - Western Cape - Where?
Hi
Which company in the Western Cape is the best at repairing the double cardan joint of the front prop-shaft of a SFA Hilux?
Or can one repair it yourself?
Thank you
