Ek het so bietjie uitgevind en wil, indien ek besluit om eerder te vervang, die outjie bietjie opgradeer om my 2de battery te kan hanteer. Grootste Bosch wat ek tot dusver kon kry was 55A. Ek het meer gedink aan 70A. Enige input daaroor?

Die grootte van die gate is belangrik. Ek het iets soortgelyks op myne en deur die Karoo het sy baie warm geraak. Gelukkig kon ek myne uithaal aangesien dit mer asteties was as funksioneel.

Thanks all. I managed to get the headlights sorted, and as suggested, it was a dirty switch. While cleaning the switch, I also had a look at the hooter and the hazards, but for the life of me, I was unable to get those to work. I suspect a broken power supply wire. Anyway, I'm off on holiday, so hop...

Thanks for the replies. What I'm not sure about is why the spots work at all? I have wired the spots to pickup the signal from the high beams from one of the headlights. This then means that when I flick the switch forward, the lights do get the signal as the spots lights up?

So I took the shafts back to Allan (Hoppy), and he saw that the one bearing wasn't seated properly. A few taps with a hammer and voila.

Nothing that I can see. I closed up the diff with plastic bags after I initially removed the axles, so there could not be any foreign objects in there.

Hi,

Definitely the correct bearings. I had a look at the snap rings on both the axles, and they are both seated well. Must the one axle be shorter than the other?

I removed the two driveshafts, put them next to each other and they are of equal lengths. So I removed the right hand side DS that fits snuggly, fitted it on the left hand side and the gap is gone. Fitted the DS that was in the left hand side into the right hand side, and tada, I have a 5mm gap agai...

I need to replace the rear wheel bearings and seals on my "local" diff. I have removed the axles, and would like to know if the wb's can be removed without a press? Also, does a replacement kit come with a new collar or not?
