Re: New Heart for 2.7 hilux

Due to my own negligence, I busted my head on my 1999 2.7 with full SAC conversion. Replaced the head with an aftermarket head, new valves, oil pump, water pump, big ends, and rings. Sleeves and pistons were still spotless. Had 600 000 on at the time. Worth doing the full recon, these engines are in...

Chev Lumina V8 conversion

 Driving past a few Chev Lumina SS Utility vehicles (I just can't call it a bakkie), I got to thinking if the Chev V8 would be a suitable conversion on a IFS? Lets hear it from the guru's.

Pro's and con's please ladies and gents.

Re: 1UZ at Last!

 Serious question. I have seen many posts for the 1UZ-Fe, but nada for the 2UZ-FE. Isn't the 2UZ-FE more suitede to the SUV/4x4 applications?
