I have installed the identical Amp/volt meters on my system. If you keep it on it will drain you battery within a week. The LED screen consumes a significant amount of power during 24 hrs. Update: The splitter with 1 female and 4 male connectors works 100% as a means of supplying 12V from the female (charge) port of the battery buddy!

Hmmm. Interesting conflicting arguments here. Obviously, covering part of the panels can't do any harm, but in some cases one would want to charge the battery as quickly as possible without causing damaging to the equipment.

I'd like to see what others say.

So I suppose I could also try to limit the current by covering part of the panels? Surely a 7Ah battery can't take that long to charge in any case, but I like the idea of charging them in parallel - never thought of it. (Electronic engineering studies aside... :naah: )

When I insert my trailer's plug into the socket, my ABS light won't switch off. I have to do some maintenance on the plug's wiring, but I just want to make sure that that is the cause. I just find it strange!?!?

OK, so the multimeter test indicated that she is not charging at all. Will keep her on the Benton every night until the 5th when she goes in for her 190 000 km service. Should be OK? Must say I'm considering to have the alternator checked by someone other than the agents - Simply from a cost perspec...
