What does it sound like with cats removed. The definition of "Beauty of sound" will differ from person to person- Some of us like a loud, throaty growl from a free-flow, others like absolute silence and then there are lots in between. Lets do this: Lets say that a stock standard vehicles s...

Does anyone know where I can get a new Fortuner Gear Knob other than from the agents? I am guessing it is the same as the Hiluxes know with the only difference being that the Hilux is plastic vs the Fortuners leather. The Hilux can do it easily but the Cops don't like it though, lol. I towed a Daimler Double Six from Pretoria to Cape Town (that was well overt 2.5tons) and although not fast, it was comfortable enough. You will easily be able to go faster but for safety, stick around the 80km/h mark (certainly no f...

If 1km/l (max) difference is worth it to, go manual. Me, personally, I would forfeit the 1km/l and go auto. No mistake, I like my manual V6 and am not going to throw a lot of money away to get the auto but I I could do it over again, I would go auto from the start.

I have the Manual Tuna, stock standard, so might differ a bit from Hilux with what fuel is concerned. I get about 7km/l and the wife gets a bit more.
Me, personally, I would forfeit 0.5 to 1km/l and get the Auto..... It is just much more of a pleasure to drive than the manual.

Jaaa, I heard that too but I have never had a hassle- keep in mind that it is a mid-wheelbase with a light'ish rear and can do 180km/h. Anyway, I would go for the 2008 model because mileage 50 000 is lower and it is 4x4. The 4x4 is all-wheeldrive and will ALWAYS handle better than 4x2

Universals is al gedoen- nie dat dit die problem kan wees nie want die vibrasie is wanneer die bus doodstil staan, in neutral, en jy hou die revs tussen 2000 en 3000. Nie terwyl jy ry nie.

Suidwes, yes and no. It is permanent 4wd but when we talk about engaging 4x4, we mean that the CDL is locked. Without the CDL engaged you will get slip when the vehicle is under strain. When locked, the light does come on to indicate that the CDL is locked and we consider it proper 4x4.
