Welcome! These 2jz's can make 400 without much effort or mods. Personally i would change to single turbo like the PT6266, 1.6bar.... 600+ whp on stock internals.

Quentin has a 2.7vvt (2TR) engine. it has chain driven cams, not a belt like the D4d..

Has the stealer actually checked the cam timing to confirm that it has somehow moved? I tend to agree with Mars, fault codes showing on both timing sensors (crank and cam) will indicate a cam timing phase problem. I think it could be a good thing to a point, yes.... especially the new drivers regulations! I have seen some youngsters ( some being customers of mine) that have absolutely NO clue on how to at least drive safely......... Dicktator also offers their own ignitor module. By far better than any Tp100 imo. Tp100 is just a signal amplifier, and inherently builds up heat.
Dicktator's module is a signal switch... no/less heat build up, more stable,less influenced by electrical noise & lasts longer....

I work on Honda's for a living, and almost all models use DENSO alternators. Individual alternator parts are a nightmare to come by, and a replacement alternator would usually be the norm..... although recently a few places have started stocking bits & pieces.... U were lucky to find that regula...

I have seen ATF used in some smaller car gearboxes without any issues, but never on these Hilux boxes that drag along so much weight....... i run a 75W90 gearoil in my 2wd gearbox, nice and quiet, smooth shifts.... even when cold.
