I owned a 2004 KZ and the head went (due to a foot problem apparently) and a nice bakkie. I currently own a 2014 D4D and with the added power …… I would agree with Andy.

Dirk, ek stem saam die oue is geldig maar as ouens die tjol aangejaag het vertrou ek hulle nie - so wie weet wat se dinge hulle nog gaan aanvang. Ek sal die local DFO more bel en vra.

My vraag is: as jou vuurwapen lisensie afgekeur was omdat jy laat hernu het en volgens SAPS n "onwettige vuurwapen eienaar was" kan jy met hierdie uitspraak teoreties nou weer aansoek doen om te hernu want die vorige lisensie is steeds geldig? Of mis ek iets?

I found that in a town like Kasane the garage compressor and gauge was not working. So if you deflate your tyres when doing Chobe .... you will need a compressor. The same applied in Katima. The campers at shark island in Luderitz was hiding from the wind and we opted to stay in the lighthouse. The wind is unpleasant to say the least. Rather spoil yourself with formal accommodation. Camp at Sesriem hotel. A nice stop over. Hope it helps

During our last camp (with some serious bad weather) the tent for the first time leaked a few drops through the seam. What is the best proven remedy to seal it with? I have heard beeswax. Is there any other remedy?

Camping in Kasane -Botswana

We have a Botswana, Nam and Zimbabwe trip coming up in Jun/Jul. Chobe river lodge only has camping available for 3 night's. We are looking for 2 more nights. What other recommended places (camping) can I contact in and not to far outside Kasane? Thanking you in advance.

Dirk jammer om te hoor en hoop dat daar nie bakwerk skade is nie. Die ouens in Nam wat ek gesien het nie net die tuna se agter venster verloor nie maar was ook n duik of 2 en n paar chip merke ryker. Sterkte

Neil I like that plan, did you make it yourself or buy it?? I would maybe make the from 8mm / 10mm elastic for flex and tightness. @ Thunder02 - any urgent plans to make something like this??? I had this one done. BUT Polarbear2008 come up with a cheaper version that works equally well. Take ground...

I hope this helps. It worked well. In picture the cords were still a bit slack but we shortened them a bit and then it was spot on.

Gents, have a look at the picture in my signature. It cover the area between the rear bumper and the trailer. We toured in Nam for 3 weeks with mostly gravel road driving and no problems. We saw 3 fortuners and a hilux (canopy) without rear windows. I will see if I still have the a better picture of...

There is a Slingsby map of Baviaans and you should be able to pick it up at Outdoor Warehouse or similar places. GPS will get you there as well. Gamkaskloof I have never seen a formal map. Stef, I saw a chap put very thin carpet on the tent floor - it insolate the floor and the stretcher stand on the carpet no marks and tears in the floor of the tent. Easy to clean as well. I am still going to do that for the trailer tent.
