Im still doing homework on the install of the 7M in my 1996 2,8D DC.
I came across conflicting info on which sump to use. CAN ANYBODY POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION?

Any advice would be appreciated,PLEASE!

how much do you want for the consignment?

I am down in Cape Town,and the three places importing them does not do wired-up units. If VVTi has these potential issues should i not rather opt to go 1uz-FE?

Any opinions on this idea?

But spitronics does mos a VVTi kit? Does these kits work properly?

Mike's Place got the 1uz-vvt going for R9500. Same price as the non vvt 1uz.

is there any tuning problems or difficulties going vvt?

Is there a specific sump position i need to look for? Front sump rear sump??? Im getting all xcited here. I sold my 7mge i had on a fully functional stand in my garage just last week. the money was rite,and later in the week i dyno'd a sprinter and an E30 BMW with the lexus motors. Absolutely awesom...

I am considering going Lexus in my 4x2 hilux 2,8d DC.

a couple of concerns: will it fit firstly,? The 4x4 guys do bodylifts for it to fit?

Which sump do i look for? Front sump,or rear sump???

any advice would be apreciated....

I have read plenty of threads on the 4x4's, but they had bodylifts and the sorts. my 4x2 dont have those luxuries.

so do i attempt this,or let it be???

The reasoning to go auto is i do not wanna go source flywheel,bellhousing,clutch and the likes.....

I've been threatening to go 7m in my 1996 Hilux 2.8d Dc 2X4. I just tuned a 1UZ in a Mercedes sprinter , and it was awesome!

I am contemplating the 1uz in my hilux.

Question 1:Will it fit in a 4x2?
