This seems a bit extreme. I wonder what their sequence of diagnostics where. I'm not an expert but why not start with new injectors and clean oil? Did they find the compression low? Then the new rings would make sense. The turbo can surely be repaired and not replaced? Just my opinion.

Samantha, are you the vehicle's first owner? Do you know if there are any tracking units installed? They are normally the culprits for draining a battery, especially when their own batteries fail. I've removed 3 units from one vehicle in the past.

Johan, is there a difference between your vehicle's tires and your friend's? Same size, but different brand can still have a difference in physical size. Even tyre wear could be a factor.

The tool with the prongs that hook into the pulley works. Built a cheap one for myself. Never struggled since.... I don't even take the radiator out anymore.

Ek hou van sitplek oortreksels maar wonder ook altyd vir wie beskerm ons die sitplekke? Nou kry die volgende ou mooi sitplekke terwyl jy hulle nie regtig geniet het nie.... Dis moeilik, ek eindig maar altyd op met oortreksels...

I had Fortuner seats in my 1988 Hilux. Loved them! Added bonus, you can fit a centre console.

This sometimes happens with new pads. If there is no apparent problem and you have brakes, maybe give it another few km's until the pads "bed" in. Is the discs worn? Maybe bleed the brake fluid just to be safe.

If you need to change a starter motor, you drop the subframe with the engine and gearbox. If you need to change the aircon pump, you drop the subframe with the engine and gearbox..... you get the picture..... Sorry, but I hate those things. I worked for Mercedes, but I am Toyota at heart all the way...

It is only the toe that can be set. You will have to put in offset bearings on the spindle to be able to set camber.

I had the same problem. I couldn't find the right size, but you do get a bush that has a slightly bigger outside diameter. I think it is for a Landcruiser suspension arm. After machining the OD smaller, it works perfectly.

Die bakkie was baie gestrip, maar ek skat dit was omtrent ñ 2006 model. Ek sal definitief fotos opsit, want dit is nogal ñ netjiese console.

Geluk met jou bakkie! Soek jy die console tussen die sitplekke? Die SFA's het nie met so iets uitgekom nie (behalwe die Limited). Jy sal by die scrapyard moet gaan soek vir iets uit ñ ander voertuig uit. Ek het juis nou vir my een gekry uit ñ Ford Ranger uit. Sterkte met die soektog!

Die ring wat die swart gedeelte vashou, het 3 skroewe. Maak hulle effens los en draai die hele swart gedeelte na ñ die kant toe wat die butterfly ooptrek.

You get Castrol Radicool in concentrate and premix. I think the concentrate works out quite cheap.

Hulle is ñ bietjie hoog standaard. Spoor is ook wyer en langer. Ek het Fortuner seats in, die bestuurder is hoogte verstelbaar. Weet nie of die Vigo kan stel nie. Ek het ook ñ D/C, so ek weet nie van S/C nie.

1hd-t, go and have a look on Youtube. But not an aftermarket turbo buggerup, an original import engine that was designed for the turbo. Thosr things pull like a train!!!! The local Toyota dealer did a FJ75 a while back and I got a spin in the result, BRILLIANT! The guy now tows a big trailer happily...

Dit klink reg maar die 15.5V is bietjie hoog. Ek dink die maksimum moet 14.5V wees. Die regulator op die alternator kan foutief wees. Die slim manne sal vir ons sê......
