Hi Guys.
I used an auto-electrician who was familiar with Hiluxes. He cut out the plugs from the donor vehicle and used them to make up a separate harness. He also lengthened the speedo cable.

For the record, the conversion is possible. The biggest challenge was finding someone to build the harness linking the front diff and transfer box to the computer and instrument cluster.
