Make sure everything was replaced as a kit (pressure plate, clutch plate and thrust bearing) and that the flywheel was skimmed before re-installation. A common place for them to put it is under the carpet under one of the front seats. :thumbup:

As the battery is rather heavy they generally don't put them in the dash etc. Have a feel around the floor, you might get lucky.

Rich, you should have said it was because the cap on the resevoir says you must :thumbup:

DOT4 is what Toyota reccomend for our vehicles, so that is what I use.

Well done on the overhaul Rich, it is well worth the effort every now and then and can make a world of difference for our old trucks.

Johan, it has been discussed at length before. Do a search for *gear oil*

The reason you shouldn't use GL5 in the GB is that the oil wears down yellow metals ie syncros

While we are talking now about over flowing resevoirs, my 2cW. Your brake system has been designed to hold a certain amount of brake fluid when the pads and shoes are new. As these wear down the brake fluid drops in the resevoir. Now most people will fill up the resevoir when they see it is dropping...

Have your ABS sensors been cleaned? It could be sending false reading to the computer and causing the lock-up.

They are normally covered in break dust, so I guess mud would make a difference. :twisted:

Cassie, why not just make some removable traalies out of square tubing? You could use a larger tubing as a fitment point that remians on the bak sides, like some moving trailers do.

Yeah, i was thinking a profile like the pic below would work for both. But perhaps I need something a little more rigid on the canopy side to allow a hard surface for the door seal to seal properly.

I am fairly sure it is about the same amount of work as with our SFA. You have to strip the wheel right down to taking the disc off. That means stripping the free wheel hubs and loosening the bearings. Once the bearings are loose, the disc and hub can be removed. The studs are fitted from the inside...

Werner, it could be your calipers that need a service.
The right hand side could be leaking slightly, hence the pulling to the left (the side where there is more pressure)

Might be a good idea to strip and replace seals etc.
