When overhauling a motor we replace the water pump and thermostat as well. The cylinder head must be retorqued after 1000km or so and it must be done cold.

You will need to run the KZ box for sure. You will still pay for a KZ even if the motor is broken. BUT, you will have the diff's you need. You shouldn't sit with your 2.7 if you must move it. Goodluck with your build!!!

Hi Dylan Please give a bit of feedback on your conversion. I have wanted to do this for a long time. Ive already baught a 3UZ and may have found a suitable 2.5 D4D. Does the 2.5 D4D use the same R151F gearbox and diffs as the 3.0 D4D? You dont say if you are running a Gen 6/Vigo Hilux. I'm not sure...

The injector leak off is checked with a scan tool. We check this before doing a chip install as it can lead to injector failure and/or engine damage. The injecors may still be within spec but with the extra demand placedon them it can result in a failure. BTW, any injector replacement or injector se...

The PnP chip has a tune that Dastek has developed from hundreds of tunes they have done. It is available from Dastek and we have found them to deliver 10-15% more power on the wheels without any limp mode problems. You can get your chip custom tuned later for more power though if you want.....
