UPDATE :!: Whilst fitting a LR tank I discovered that when the guage gets to empty, there is actually +-20L left in the tank. I have tried Ferodo ceramic, ATE and Lucas and I can honestly say that none of them lasted past 10k kms. They are just too soft, yes that means your discs don't get worn down quickly but you do change pads regularly. I now have Ferodo Platinum fitted and so far so good. They are a bit harder but not...

Jaco, what you experienced may not be the tyres fault but the brakes. Most SFAs have the same problem when wet and cold. Just a slight touch of the brakes and the rear wheels lock up. Two things I can think of. Firstly the door will not be recessed so the seal will have to be tight so as not to allow water and dust in. Warren, check the charging voltage of the alternator. It is not the amps that you need to worry about. If your regulator is only pushing out 14.2V or something when there is no load ion it, then when there is load it will drop quite a bit. This means that the aux battery isn't getting a full charge ...

AFAIK there is a fuse box under the dash on the drivers side which houses those funny small blade fuses.
Check those as that is where the radio/clock/lights fuses should be IIRC from a mates IFS.

The best bet is to fit load bars and 2 double jerry can brackets above the cab roof.
You could do it over the canopy but you must check the load rating of the canopy.
