Well okay maybe not at Baobab Motors ... But depending on how your route goes you can stop in at Upington Toyota for a service, or even Kuruman etc. That should bring you pretty close to your service interval. :thumbup: :thumbup:

Try to do your service on the trip, if you can. Rather earlier than later. Otherwise, negotiate with your friendly Toyota workshop to have an early service done. Die Moose Toets is 'n skielike rukbeweging, juis om die skrik en uitswaai reaksie te simuleer. Dit het Jaco Kirsten nie gedoen nie. Hy het die "racing line" gevat, en dis hoekom die Hilux so mooi loop.

Buy a Sachs or Aisin clutch kit, not the LUK crap that Toyota sells. The LUK stuff does not last. I just has a Sachs kit installed in my D4D and I am really happy with it.

I think we must not get confused. There are standard "as designed and produced" lights that the vehicle comes out of the factory with, which has gone through rigorous design and testing phases and was approved by all safety standards bodies (SABS etc). And then we get the aftermarket light...

I'd stay away from the all glass rear doors. They are not the most durable. Ditto. Ou Carlo Voetsek had huge problems with an Outback all glass rear door. It broke.. and he couldnt get a replacement. Then the canopy started leaking for some reason and I think he is still struggling to waterproof it...

I have a GOMAD canopy... Had it on my Vigo for almost 4 years now. I use it hard, and it is strong, it works and it looks great. Give Gysie a call, his prices are extremely competitive and his service is great. :thumbup: :thumbup:

Some feedback. Drove around a bit on the weekend. Open road and stuff. There is a definite improvement in power. The Hilux feels much more responsive and the pulling power is definitely better. Not mind blowingly so, but enough to make it a nicer vehicle to drive. Overtaking is also better. Maybe it...
