OT, but we did a organized Namib and dune trip last week. From the 15 vehicles, 5 were cruisers, 1 mazda and the rest were hiluxe's and Tunas, mostly 3 D4D. Only 1 Fortuner was a 4l only. If you go to 'menu' and then 'routes' you should be able to name and store the diff routes, but its a function of T4A also. The earlier versions of T4A could not do it.

270 is good hunting rifle on shorter <250m distance, but don't try to shoot through bushes. Also it must be a good shot that kills 3006 is a bit for larger game. .308 also better. I have done 30 k km on my 2.5 srx (new) 4x4 since March this year, but getting sometimes irritated with the turbo lack, even with the pull away one have to ref the engine to +1500rpm and I don't get hypnotized :boredom: :disgust: by trucks in front of me, but to overtake a truck with oncoming traffi...

Dit het ook n Danfos kompressor, wat die beter een is. Ek ook een van daai 'specials' gekoop, by Makro, maar dit is maar sy prys. Die ander make kos ook maar daar rond, behalwe die Engel is n bietjie duurder.

Last week-end on a 4x4 trip I used a 50 W VHF radio from the lighter plug. It works, but each time you switch off the engine the radio also is dead, and each time you have to reselect the channel.

Agree 150k km is maybe a bit high, but if you do only 10k km a year then maybe not an issue.

For short distances traveling the 2.5 is sufficient, but if you travel a lot, then the 3.0 l make more sense for over-taking etc.

johan it's interesting you should mention they struglle in the sand. The 3.0 l have enough torque and Kw for the sand. Only the 2.5 is a bit under power, so is the 4.2d LC, but the 4.2td LC is not bad again. Petrol engines have a longer rev range, so it does better as you change gears less. Thats w...

The KM2 is not more noisy that the AT, my experience, but they say the AT chip more than the mud one, and the mud is slightly more expensive again. I have both on my vehicles, but leaning towards the mud tyre for off road, throw less stones.

+- 1970 not sure, Corona 1900 mk II, man that was a nice car for a student, fancy radio which looked for the stations by by itselves, but usely didn't find any as most stations were on short wave, no aircon, from my mother.

Bandjies is baie nou(205) ma verder het die hilux my baie beindruk lekke ry.
Ek het daai bandjies by Toy gelos en BGF 245/70 op die std rims gesit. Hulle het vir my R900 per band gekry by Continental

Hi Johan, what I did before taking dlivery of OOOODS Tuna, I told Toy to take the road tyres off and fit A/T's They have good contact's with some of the fitment centre's and gave me a credit for the road tyres and we just had to pay in the difference of the A/T tyre's! never thought of that. I had to eventually replaced the D840's at 112 000km with D694's. Quit happy so far, it's a huge improvement on gravel also.

The problem was not sorted. It appears to be that the free play on the clutch are being taken up by the expansion of the brake fluid, the reason for the built up, and then the slipping.
