Built in Sat Nav Problem
Hi guys , a friend of mine has one of these built in gps / dvd combo units. Everytime he turns off the car it resets to default, basically GMT and looses the favorits saved. When you exit the garmin program and go to the sttings consol it is reset to GMT. If you correct the time and then go back into the maps and say go to, it also resets itself. I have seen on the net is is a problem on cell phones as well. Any help welcome. thanks

Re: Built in Sat Nav Problem
For the first problem it sounds as if the unit was installed incorrectly. Car radios usually have two power cables. One red one (ignition) and one yellow one (12V supply). It sounds as if both where wired to the ignition. The yellow one should be wired to a permanent 12V source from the battery through a fuse.
