Garmin tough choice
You must be getting bored with all the GPS questions....
I cannot decide between the 60CSx and the 500 to supplement my 200W when not in town.
I use to have a GPS IV from Garmin and loved being able to map the exact route before I left for a destination. However the memory capacity was an issue.

60CSx - Screen imo is to small, otherwise nice. Also enterng suff on screen become's a problem.
Would look rather for a 760 / 710 if you can find or 276c

Screen on both the 500 and 60 are both on the small size do agree with that.

500 not bad but still prefer the 710 / 760Traveler wrote:Screen on both the 500 and 60 are both on the small size do agree with that.

Re: Garmin tough choice
They are indeed discontinued and we sold the last one remaining in stock just two weeks ago.
I have a 276C, 710 as well as a 500 that I use regularly. Bare in mind that the 60Csx is ideal for hiking while the 500 is designed for motor vehicles. The 60Csx package does not include a car mount, this is available as an accessory. I would suggest a Nuvi 500, should work well for you and you are already accustomed to the way in which a Nuvi works. The 500 is also waterproof and features a replaceable battery - the Nuvi 2xx - 7xx series do not.

Re: Garmin tough choice
What about a Zumo 660? I swap mine between the bike and the Lux.
Waterproof, big screen, replaceable battery, enough memory...
If money isn't an issue, check it out.

Re: Garmin tough choice
Greg, I already have the 500, and I am very happy.
Apart from the big screen it has all those features as well.
Thanks for the input.

Re: Garmin tough choice
helped a guy just last week with a similar issue, went with the Nuvi500, nice & compact, works well. That said, played with a 276 on the weekend and well, I don't know why Garmin killed it.

Re: Garmin tough choice
Doug, I would have loved to have bought a 276.
I am however liking my little 500 more each time that I use it. Glad that I bought it.
