How do I export tracks?

I saved some tracks on our previous trip on the GPS.
This weekend we did another trip and I stored the track.

I now only want to export this weekend's trip in its own track so I can share it with others.

It seems that if I save it in Mapsource it saves all my tracks in one file.

Any suggestions on how I can export this weekend's trip in its own file?

You'll need a tracking number!

Kan jy jou verskillende tracks in die "view" venster sien.Daar is gewoonlik 'n klomp van hulle wat met 'n datum en tyd gemerk word.Jy kan daar die tracks delete wat jy nie nodig het nie

Ja, ek kan dit sien.

Moet ek al die tracks eers save waar ek hulle weer kan kry, dan delete ek alles wat ek nie wil he en save dit weer onder ander naam?

Wat is die beste formaat om mee te deel? Ek het nou hier gelees dat gpx die beste is want alle GPSse kan dit lees? Is dit so?

Ek gaan sommer oorslaan Ingels toe sodat ander ook kan verstaan:

I now saved the file as a .gpx file using MapSource.
When I wanted to open it again to see it if it also saved the waypoints MapSource told me it cannot open the file because it is no a valid MapSource file.
So MapSource can save it as a .gpx but cannot opne the same file it created.

What version are you running.i run 6.16.3 and it works fine.

I use the same version
It saves the file as a gpx file without complaining but if I want to open the file I just saved it tells me the file type is not supported by MapSource.
I will email you the file just now so you can see if you can open it.

Ok George I now see why it did not want to open the file, because it was empty

If I have all my tracks open in mapsource and save it as a gpx it works.
But if I delete the other tracks and only leave the weekend's track and then save it, it saves the file, but the file is empty (0Kb)

Pieter,

It must open. As George said, you might have to download a Mapsource update.

To select only one track, delete all the others from Mapsource once you have transferred them over from your GPS. Then save the one remaining track with a new name. (But I guess you've already done this!).

I figured it out:
If I open all the tracks and save it as a .gpx it saves fine and I can open it.
But if I open the main file, delete the unwanted tracks and then saves it as a .gpx it saves 0Kb file which do not want to open.

I now figured out that if I open the main file, delete unwanted tracks then first save it as a .gdb file and then save it as a .gpx file then it saves correctly.
