Bought a Garmin Montana 600

Post by Traveler »

Took the plunge and bought it. Now to buy the car mount, have the maps loaded for road use, and then slot in the SD Card with Tracks.

It is an impressive unit.   Did not see why the camera is important as you have in the 650.

The Montana is an excellent unit. About the closest thing Garmin has ever brought out to match the classic 276.

Lees vanaand die maandelikse geskryf van Kevin Bolton oor sy "ideale" GPS. Sy beskrywing is omtrent 95% Montana.

Eric, why did we never see the 277, 278 and 279 in South Africa?

Was slightly perturbed that you have to buy the unit, and virtually everything else seperate from the next. Therefore it ain't just a one box purchase. It is a multibox, multi transaction process.

Johannes, I just love the unit. The interface just makes sense, and you can set up virtually everything to your personal taste.
