UHF channel frequency list

Post by AdrianZ »

I got myself a little hand held radio that you can set the frequencies with.

Can anyone tell me on which frequencies the preset channels on the licence free radios are set at?

These are the 446MHz frequencies in use by most L/F radios today, although some still use the 464MHz band. All that differs amongst the various manufacturers is the order of the frequencies and the different tones. You will notice that although the frequencies are repeated, the tones are different.

You'll notice the first three channels above have no Tones. This means you will hear all radio traffic on those frequencies but the other radios will not hear you unless they are also on a channel with no tones. All radios should be able to communicate like this but not necessarily in the channel order above, which refers to the Kirisun PT260 Licence-Free radio only.

Ah I see!

So I should actually get a list of all the L/F radio frequencies and program them into the handheld. I thought they all pretty much used the same frequencies

The frequencies are the same, but there are various tones (up to 50) that are used by different manufacturers. Bit of a joke really, if one of the frequencies is in use by two or more users, then that frequency cannot be used simultaneously by other users in the area even if operating on a different tone.
