RADIO PROGRAMMING IN CAPE TOWN/LANGEBAAN

Guys, I am often asked where in CT can radios be taken for programming. I used to recommend Joe Berg but seems he is a bit far for most people to travel since his relocation to Paarl.

I have now arranged with Tony Baard for this:
My equipment is at the club’s disposal should the need arise. I am registered with ICASA as a Dealer as well so all good legally.

I have software and cables for most of the radios listed in the Club.
You may contact Tony at 082 789 3457 or on 083 797 9810 ( This is valid for Whatsapp as well )

To do so, you need to obtain a "Radio Authorisation Letter" from the Club, provided:

You will need to have first registered your VHF radios on the Club Database as indicated here:
viewtopic.php?f=210&t=38799

This page is only visible if you are a PAID-UP Club Member, in other words your username is in BLUE.

If you are not yet a Club Member, please register here:
http://www.hiluxclub.co.za

After first having registered as a Club member, there is a link on top of that page in RED that needs to be clicked. This will download an User Agreement which must be completed. All fields please, including your HC call sign which will automatically be generated following radio Registration on the Club Database. There is no need to first print out the form, simply type the data directly into the fields, then save the completed form before emailing it to me at info@repcom.co.za or radios@hiluxclub.co.za. Please ask me for the Verification letter to be emailed to you if you wish to have your radios programmed by Tony or any other Dealer.

Club Membership is R160 per year and your Club VHF licences are included in this fee, i.e. you will now no longer need to renew through ORRA. The VHF frequencies are the same as for ORRA but with an additional two channels programmed exclusively for Hilux Club members, i.e. eleven channels in all.

Finally, please update your forum profiles with your new HC Call Sign (in place of the current ORRA one).

As soon as you have done the above ;)

The forum generates it automatically as soon as you have registered your radios. You can check on the CLUB PAGE to see if you have received one.

Pieter, both those links open for me. Can you see the normal 'Club pages'?

If I click on the red link on the Club page, it downloads the form for me.

Using Firefox, latest version.

I clicked the red link in the members area, seems like it added an extra /member/ before the download folder.
