29Mhz ch used in CapeTown by club members

Post by Rooikappie »

I have 29Mhz and VHF installed and am listening for some time , but have not heard any chatting.
Does the members only chat once on the trip or do they use the radios during the week to chat??

Would be nice to hear somebody on the channels.
Is there specific ch the members use or is this planned once at the route/trip.

The other Club that I belong too uses:

CH1 - Chatter Channel
CH14 - On Trails, Events

If you can set your radio to Scan, you'll probably pick something up on the weekends.

Hi Lourens
Great to see some VHF in Cape Town.
Do you have the ORRA Frequency programmed?
If so it will be nice to do a radio test sometime

Rooikappie

Lourens,
I always have the radio on when I'm in the van (which is most days) but also never pick up anyone chatting. Except the security company.
