Which prado to get

Post by Ahmed moosaji »

Good day
Trust that you guys are well

My budget is around R 250 000
I currently own a 2007 lexus is250 and 2009 toyota auris
Both are about to get sold
I want a good suv
I really want a 2009 plus prado
I want to know which is the better engine
Also what is fuel consumption
I don't want manufacturers claim
I want from personal drivers
And if it is diesel then is it good to chip it as I ant power
I'm thinking the v6 is heavy
Thanks again for all the help
REALLY appreciate it

I have a 2007 Prado V6 and it is great! :)
It is heavy on juice though, the gauge shows around 16L per 100kms.
I have chipped it and put a free flow to try and help the consumption, but can't say it made a huge difference with consumption, maybe around half a liter or so. Did give more power though... :)
It's the same shape up to 2009 or maybe 2010 and can't speak for the newer ones.

It is awesome to drive every time I get into it though :)

Hope that you find what you looking for.
