Congratulations new Accredited Drivers

Post by ThysdJ »

Please allow me to congratulate Allan(Hoppy), Coenie(King Rat), Wynand(Shimano) and Andrew(Nugget) on achieving competence against Unit Standard 254135 - Apply the techniques for operating four wheel drive (4WD) vehicles, in on-road and off-road conditions. :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob:

After a bumpy start to my first training session, we got going smoothly and ended with a muddy finish out on the trail. Despite the weather turning nasty on us, we had a lot of fun, and I would be so bold as to say I think the guys actually learned something.

From African Off-Road Academy Western Cape, I thank you for your support, and I welcome you to the African Off-Road family!

Thys is not always as truthful on the forum, the wet weather started at 16:30 Friday afternoon. :sos: On arriving at Helderberg, each participant was issue with a life jacket and and a "opblass matras". More sweat came of Thys than water off over the Agrabies falls. :beg:
And I can swear Thys was sponsered by British American Tobacco, a steam train makes less smoke :boss: .
Maar genoeg kaaaaaaaak praat. :laugh2: Thys was awesome, as well as the other instructors. I really learnt alot, and hopefully one day I would like to see myself in the front off the class sharing my soon to be aquired knowledge and experiance.
Saterday was just as nice if not better than friday. All the guys had their shower caps on and were assisting us on the trail, just a pity we could not go any higher up due to the slippery conditions.

I would like to say thank you to all the instructors, and I cannot wait for the level 2 training.
Unfortunatly I could not take any photos, but I know the instructors did, so hopefully Thys will upload some.

Fanks, DIT het maar geknor, en met baie sweet gepaard gegaan, maar op die ou einde het ons darem die wa deur die cross-axles getrek. :shh: :shh: :shh:

Unfortunately I will have to rely on the learners and my African Offroad colleagues for pics, as I had zero time to run around with a camera.
