Went to get an input board for a Luna power box 9 days ago. Still nothing  I called them 4 times and each time there is an excuse so we got the part somewhere else. It seems like it depends on who helps you. The salepeople just stand and talk #$@ in stead of assisting.

Landed up gettingthe part from Safari Centre

Everytime I go to Outdoor warehouse at Willow Bridge, I leave there frustrated.
There are 4 tills, however 1 person operating a till, and the rest of the guys just stand around !!!
TIme to look for other outdoor shop !!!!!

The problem with most specialist shops like ODW is that they employ pimply faced teenagers who know more about chatting on their BlackBerries than being a shop assistant. And they definitely do not know the products they are selling.

It is all about the bottom line... maximise income and minimise expenses such a staff salaries...

I must agree, they wont win any prices for customer service.
Only reason I go there is that it is one of the only shops where I can browse without any salespeople interfering or asking if they can help, it is like nobody notice you and sometimes that is just what I need if I want to just walk around and see what is new on the market.

Must say, when I bought my GPS, I visited ODW. The sales guys didn't have the foggiest idea about the new model features. I eventually landed up buying from Makro where, can you believe it, the salesman knew the models well. I thought it would be the opposite way around! And, of course, Makro was almost a grand cheaper... bonus!

maybe somebody should bring this thread under the attention of the management of ODW in Willow Bridge... But maybe they'll just shrug and make us out for a bunch of moaners..

Thys before our Kgalagadi trip I went there to buy some clothes - daai DUN klere wat so lekker werk in die warm weer.

Now buying clothes is probably the only thing I hate more than paying tax ......

So having walked through all the shelves I had some clothes I wanted to try on .. but the casuals were all huddled up in another corner ...... I politely pointed out to them they have a customer, as soon as they might have the time to get to work .... Another lady walked over and assisted me, EXCELLENT service.
(not sure why a client needs to ask for it though ...)

nee wat manne, as ek daar is en diens SOEK, dan VRA ek daarvoor ! (maar partykeer wys ek hulle ook weg, as ek soos Pieter die dag net lus is vir window shopping)

I have only been in there twice. The first time I promised myself that I wouldnt go back. The second time I had to as no one else had the item. I still wont go back there. I will rather order from an online store and wait

Have to agree- still waiting on them to phone me back as agreed when they received the particular item I was looking for. Made my way to Greesport as they made time to phone me. However we should not complain about service as there are NONE! I get the impression that there is no manager present.

Niel, jy weet mos ODW staan NIE vir outdoor warehouse nie! Dis outdoor windowshopping!

Op n ligter noot, die kere wat my vorigr Waco yskas parte gekort het, was hulle baie hulpvardig. Dan moet ek ook se die dames personeel doen baie meer moeite om mens terug te bel en versoeke neer te skryf as die ouens!
