Rusty
Hi Guys
Finally I have got a piccie up and loaded
This is my Toy appropriately called rusty due to all the rust she has.
I managed to pic her up for 25K and so far have redone the following.
1. Head
2. Complete suspension with Mikem kit
3. tidied up wiring and a few other odds and ends.
I will try and get some more up as soon as I can.

Re: Rusty
Thanks guys.
Cheers Guys,
here's a few more pics, unfortunatley, I didn't take too many as time was against me.
I did the front aswell, but no piccies of the progress as I had to get completed as the wife was in labour and I only finished what was critical.
I'll pull the front out soon agasin and do a good clean up like the back as soon as I can allow her to stand for a week or so again.
Things I had to do while doing this, was replace the centre pins all round as the old were in a bad way.
Get new longer flexi pipes for the brakes all round as the old 1's were too short and I wasn't gonna take chances.

Looks like you've been a busy boy, Zane! ... Nice going so far!
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!

How much longer did you go on the brake pipes?Maddoglips wrote:Get new longer flexi pipes for the brakes all round
Where did you buy them?
Were they correct the first time you installed them?
What did you pay?

Re: Rusty
Hi Jaco
I lengthend the pipes by a 150mm, thats the 1 for the rear and the 2 for the front. They all fitted 1st time as I used 1 as a sample for the ends.
The rear has a male and female, while the front you require 2 females.
I payed R400 for them and had them done through a M8.
I can say that it's a definate requirement with the 50mm lift as all round I gained roughly 75mm in total.
Oh I also forgot that I replaced the solid pipes in the front aswell as they were twisted due to aged and all the works in the past.
This cost me R220 for the piping and ends along with the brake pipe flaring tool and I just bent them by hand using a 10mm spanner.

Re: Rusty
Thx Zane, 150mm sounds good I discussed it before and that was the recommended length by our more experienced members here on the forum
