Newbie from Lephalale

Post by HenryB »

Hi All,

I'm new to this forum. Would like to greet every one and hope to have some great chats, advise and shared stories to come. Looking forward to it.

I recently bought a old beat up '82 Hilux 4x4 and started to revamp it. Never seem to have enough "time" ($) to do everything I want to do. Will post a pic or 2 and will enjoy sharing the progress on the restoration and mods to come.

Welcome Henry, don't feel lonely a lot of us always seem short of a few ($). So we make the most of it by planning mods that we would like to do in the future, but these always change as we see better ones done by other members. So just think of how much you are saving by not having to redo a mod.

Thanx for the welcome,

I added a pic of "Skommel" as my avatar. Some work was done already. Mainly cosmetic. The spray job was one of the first, then interior. I replaced the original 4 speed gearbox with a G52 5 speed box (this was a mission of its own with a story to tell - later). Next, engine overall. Its got a 22R engine that sounds as old as it is. I'm running a standard carburator at the moment, but want to change to the original 22Re feul injection system.

More cosmetics will come later. First things first.

I will post some pics on the build up to date.
