Swifty's new look

Decided to put Swifty on a diet.

Removed canopy, drawer system and water tank.
Removed decals for a "clean look"
Fitted roll bar and tonneau cover.
Fitted Cragar steel rims.

Die dieet het nogal 'n groot verskil gemaak.
Daai staal canopy van my het seker naby die 400kg geweeg. Die verskil in performance sonder die canopy en die ander groceries is baie beter. :thumbup: Ek het nognie getoets nie, maar ek glo die brandstof verbruik gaan ook verbeter. :mrgreen:

Is die swingarm vir die spaarwiel op die standaard bumper gebou?
Ja, ek het dit op die standaard bumper gedoen. Om dit stewig te maak bestaan die bracket uit 'n pyp wat knap in die standaard bumper se pyp pas, dit gly dan so ongeveer 600mm in die bestaande bumper se pyp in. Dit het ook 'n onderste bracket wat saam met die standaard bumper se bracket aan die chassis vasbout.

Hello almal, eks nuut hier tussen julle, Hi Martin, dis mos hoe 'n regte bakkie moet lyk! Soliede aste met coilsprings is die beste off road resep. Is dit ou hilux aste op 'n nuwe hilux? hoe moeilik is dit om daai coilspring conversion te doen? Deel ons bietjie mee, hoe het jy die conversion gedoen? en waar kom al die parte vandaan? Neem asb fotos as jy gaan klim en grou!

From the pic it looks like Martin has done an SAS using a Hilux axle with import diff and Cruiser coils. :wink: but I can't see so lekker ... Is the SAS done with a set of swing arms? :think:

Yes we used a Hilux axle with Cruiser (Mikem) coils with swing arms with a panhard rod.
